Building on the skills developed in Integrated Music Studies 1, you will continue to enhance your all-round musicianship, with a particular focus on arranging, directing, and the study of composition and performance practices, past and present.

On completion of the module, we expect you to be able to:

Apply research skills to support discussion and debate around issues of performance and compositional practice/s, past and present;

Apply broad knowledge and understanding of melody, rhythm, harmony, texture and form to produce creative outputs

Demonstrate secure musicianship skills in variety of contexts, including aural transcription, analysis, critical listening, and score-reading;

Demonstrate confidence and secure musicianship and communication skills when directing a
small ensemble.
